People sitting in offices all over the world can link up for meetings without having to go through everything that travel involves. The Internet is running more smoothly all the time, so unless someone is in a low-tech region with issues related to reliable high-speed bandwidth, problems don’t happen that often anymore.

Even though conference calling helps the bottom line, meeting people in person is a valuable experience. Although many companies value video conference services, they should definitely get together periodically throughout the year. After all, you can’t fax a handshake!
